Seok is a founding instructor of Sky Pilates, Singapore, where she has been teaching both Pilates and Gyrotonic® since Sky’s inception in 2005. Certified since 2002 with Polestar Education LLC, Seok has recently become an educator with Polestar. Having danced ballet recreationally from age 5 to 25, Seok was introduced to Pilates by fellow dancer and founding instructor, Geraldine “Geri” Nonis, who taught her Pilates to prepare for her roles in the “Sleeping Beauty” ballet in 1995. Seok continued training with Geri and when she retired from her legal career in 2000, it was with Geri’s encouragement that Seok began her second career in Pilates. Besides attending Pilates and Gyrotonic® courses yearly to update her skills, Seok also delves into other somatic movement and energy work to help enrich her teaching experience. She is married with two young children, and is exploring Brain Gym® and movement as a form of therapy to help overcome her son’s learning challenges.
