This is a great introduction to Pilates which will take you through the history, principles and ethics/practice of teaching Pilates. The perfect way to get started – a simple introduction to a profession that can bring you joy, professional satisfaction and an opportunity to earn money.

NOTE: Gateway Online is included for free when you register for any Gateway Course, or full professional course. You DO NOT need to purchase Gateway online separately if you register for any of the above courses.

You have probably heard that Pilates focuses on getting better abdominals. But did you know that Pilates is much more than that? Through clear cueing, visual imagery and tactile facilitation of optimal movement patterns, improve your effectiveness as a professional. Gateway starts with a 3hr Gateway Online course which provides the student with concise information about Pilates history, movement principles and professional ethics.

Anyone who wants a low-cost introduction to the theory and practice of Pilates.

The online course consists of 3 lectures:

Pilates History and Evolution;
Polestar Movement Principles;
Professional Ethics and Scope of Practice.

Polestar Online - As a Polestar student you will have access to a significant amount of valuable course material through the Polestar Online platform (the material granted depends on the course that you have registered for). Access is included in your course fee, although there is a time limit on the length of time you will be able to access the online material.

This offers students access to this valuable study resource up until the time they sit the exam. For professional courses, students are encouraged to take the exam 6-8 months after the original last course module. Students who choose to sit the exam at a later date (up to 1 year after the original final course module) may have to pay an extra fee in order to maintain access to the online material.
