This autumn, CEC's come to Hong Kong
Join us at Iso Fit on Wednesday afternoons from 16 September to 14 October for three continuing education workshops — small props on the mat, the Polestar Spinefitter, and the feet-to-hips connection on the Reformer.
We are delighted to welcome Samantha Robinson, leading two of the three workshops, alongside Hong Kong educator Kenny Kam. Whether you are a newly qualified teacher building your toolkit or a studio owner adding equipment vocabulary, there is a workshop here for you. Take one, or take all three.
Places are limited by the equipment on the floor, so workshops close as soon as they are full. Registration is open now.

Your Educators

Workshops 1 & 2
Samantha Robinson
PhD in Exercise Science and a Polestar Pilates senior examiner, with more than 20 years teaching the Polestar method. Certified Polestar educator for Mat, Reformer, and Full Studio. Sam leads Mat with Small Props across two September afternoons, and the full Spine Fitter day at the end of the month.

Workshop 3
Kenny Kam
A Hong Kong native and a Polestar educator since 2016, certified Polestar Mat, Reformer, and Studio Comprehensive as well as GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS®. Kenny came to Pilates seeking help with chronic back pain and tailors his teaching to the individual in front of him. He leads From Arches to Alignment on the Reformer in October.
Programme: three workshops
Workshop 01 · Wed 16 & Wed 23 Sep · 2–6pm · 2 × 4 hours
Mat with Small Props
Samantha Robinson – 8 Polestar CEC’s
Mat exercises from beginner to advanced, with props. The practical portion covers transitions and sequencing, with a strong focus on how to raise and lower the difficulty of Pilates mat exercises — and how to modify a class for the population in front of you.
Across the two afternoons you will work with the foam roller, rotating disc and balance board, fitness ball, resistance band, and magic circle — moving from beginner through advanced repertoire, practising transitions and sequencing, and modifying each exercise for the population in front of you.
In this workshop you will:
- Work through mat repertoire from beginner to advanced, with props.
- Practise transitions and sequencing in every practical session.
- Learn how to raise and lower the difficulty of each mat exercise.
- Modify mat work for the population in front of you.
Who should attend:
- Certified Mat instructors.
- Studio instructors.
Workshop 02 · Wed 30 Sep · 2–9pm · 6 hours teaching + 1 hour lunch
Spine Fitter — the Polestar Spinefitter meets Pilates equipment
Samantha Robinson – 6 Polestar CECs
Join fellow Pilates instructors, movement professionals, and physical therapists for a specialised continuing education course focused on unlocking the potential of the Spinefitter. Developed by renowned Polestar educator and osteopath Nina Metternich, this innovative device significantly enhances client outcomes in flexibility, strength, balance, and joint mobility.
In this workshop you will:
- Discover how to effectively incorporate the Spinefitter with Polestar Pilates principles.
- Learn techniques to enhance both your own and your clients’ outcomes.
Who it is for:
- Target audience: qualified Pilates teachers.
- Prerequisites: Pilates-trained persons.
- Polestar CECs: 6.
Workshop 03 · Wed 14 Oct · 2–6pm · 4 hours
From Arches to Alignment
Kenny Kam – 4 Polestar CEC’s
When your foot arches lack optimal support, your hips can end up twisting out of place just to keep you balanced.
As the arches lose their lift or lock up, that instability tends to spiral straight up the legs — pulling the hip joints off-centre and leaving the hips feeling habitually overworked. Kenny takes you from the ground up, on the Reformer, so you can trace what you see at the hip back to what is happening at the foot.
What you will take away:
- Assess your base — discover how your arches shape ankle, knee, and hip alignment.
- Ease tightness and build power — release stiff plantar fascia while activating key hip stabilisers.
- Move with ease — integrate feet and hips during movement to make every exercise feel lighter.
- Master foot articulation — targeted drills to improve structural mobility and foot control.
Who should attend:
- Reformer or Studio Comprehensive graduates.
- Reformer equipment is used throughout the four hours.
