Directors Corner
Life and Movement-Building a Bridge
As
another year goes racing by and I get to know our Polestar grads,
Mentors and Educators more, my appreciation of the broad diversity and
wisdom of life that we hold collectively as well as in the field of
Pilates movement continues to grow.
As
diverse as we are, we hold many things in common including a deep
reverence for the body's wisdom and I applaud each one of you who has
succeeded in finding a way of working which allows the body to act as
your guide. We have each gone through the same Polestar training and
emerged with a deeper understanding of what it means to be somatically
aware and, as individuals, have each contributed a unique piece to the
whole Polestar mosaic.
As
we move into 2011, I see increasing focus on the body and its well
being. I strongly believe NOW is the time to make a giant leap...a
Quantum Leap if you will...to bring forth the wisdom of the Pilates
body in order to impact the lives of the people you teach. Polestar
Asia is YOUR link to each other and the community at large; it is here
for members to co- create a vehicle to share our work with not only
those folks in your corner of Asia but also those further afield.
I
anticipate that the coming year will see us grow and move forwards
toward a higher level of standards and professionalism in our movement
education and therapy and I thank you all for growing with us.

New Host - Firm Point Pilates
We are pleased to announce that we have a new Polestar Host site in Indonesia - Firm Point Pilates - located in Bandung. They are very excited to be hosting for Polestar and already have organized a full schedule for 2011. Polestar to Break World Record!
For those of you attending the Polestar International Conference in San Diego next year, you will be lucky enough to be involved in a world record breaking attempt. Polestar will be looking to conduct the worlds largest mat class ever with over 1000 people expected to take part! Don't miss out on your chance to be involved!
Polestar babies!
Our wonderful educators, Samantha Robinson and Alex Inglis, have had recent additions to their families (both have welcomed little baby boys). Congratulations Sam and Alex, and hopefully the sleepless nights are kept to a minimum!
